3. Hiding Strains
You may also wonder about is there a way to hide strains. Scrolling through them to get to the end of the list is really awful once you get into breeding.
There’s a way and you can. On every strain, there is a checkbox for “show in stock”.
4. Best Soil Composition for Strains
Super lemon haze – N:7 P: 1 K: 2, temp 19 humid 60
Reggie – N: 8 P: 4 K: 3 temp 21 humid 65
The two above are always true, but the rest are RANDOMIZED so you have to experiment or spend research points.
It’s not that hard to experiment on your own, and you only have to do it with 1 or 2 strains before you get research anyways.
4.1. This is how it is an experiment, so you can get an idea:
- With a new strain, I have no idea about, I plant 5 or 6 of them in a room, wait until they all have the watering icon ready.
- Then I water one and click on the rightmost tab under that plant info which shows a record of the +% quality change. This is the baseline, usually, it’s somewhere between +5% to +9% if you happened to get very lucky. The maximum is +15%. Move to the next plant, change the N composition to 3.
- Water it. Check the quality tab. If it went up, then check 2 and 4 on the next plants. It always has a strict maximum for each value so once you find an increase followed by a decrease in that same direction then you know you hit max. If it didn’t go up, then go in the other direction. Keep this up with all the different settings.
- You should be able to uncover all the information after 2 full grow/harvest cycles, less if you are lucky.
Example:
- The baseline is +5%. I set N to 3, it’s still +5%. So I say this is the wrong direction I go to N 7. Now it’s +8%. I check N6, it’s +7%. I check N8 it’s +7%.
- Now I know for sure that N7 is the best setting for this plant. Repeat the overall process for the other settings.
- Again water one for baseline, then changes just one setting at a time, look for the direction of increase and keep checking until you get a decrease (or check the other direction if your first direction increase was a dud).
