Zadar is the first area and town in the game. This is where the protagonist starts their adventure and leads directly into Prasine Coast.

This where your journey in the Airborne Archipelago begins. Here you will receive your first Temtem from Professor Konstantinos. You’ll meet your rival Max. You may want to see this guide for more information about Temtem.

The game begins with someone you know named Aina waking you up in your bedroom. You’re given a few dialogue options to add some variety to the conversation but regardless of which options you choose, the conversation will end with Aina giving you your Tempedia.

“The Tempedia is the quintessential device every Tamer should have. The Tempedia records crucial info on every Temtem seen and caught. Yours is a present from Aina.”

This device is an Apprentice Eve gift from Aina and it’s something that Professor Konstantinos has shown you how to use in the game’s lore.

Exit the house after receiving this item and head outside to get a glimpse of the game’s first town, Zadar. You’ll notice in the top right corner that you’ve already received your first quest: First Steps.

When you step outside of your house, the townsfolk will greet you with goodbyes and give you some money for your trip to Accademia.

Your friend Max will appear as will Professor Konstantinos, who tells you that he will take you and Max to the Accademia.

Before that though, you must follow Konstantinos and Max to the Temtem lab. To reach this lab, head slightly south and then go right until the ground beneath you becomes sand. The first building in this sandy area is the lab.

Once in the lab, Konstantinos will tell you to select one of the three Temtem visible in the lab to call your own.

On the left is Crystle, which is a Crystal Temtem that is strong against Electric and Mental, but weak against Fire and Earth.

The middle Temtem is Smazee, which is a Melee Temtem that is strong against Earth and Crystal but weak against Mental.

The right Temtem is Houchic, which is a Mental Temtem that is strong against Neutral and Melee, but weak against Crystal.

We selected Houchic but your choice here will not change the larger story so choose the Temtem you like best. After selecting a Temtem, the Professor will ask you to meet him outside, but once you’re outside, your rival friend Max challenges you to a Temtem battle. This is a tutorial battle of sorts for Temtem so pay attention to everything the game tells you here.

Here’s a recap in case you miss anything: Use your mouse to select a move from your Temtem’s list of techniques. Then, select the Temtem you wish to use the move against. You’ll quickly realize that you never stood a chance against Max’s Temtem, Oree, because it’s a rare and powerful Digital Temtem. The professor will explain that to you following the battle that you will lose.

You’ll then receive your next Temtem, Tuwai, which is a Wind Temtem.

Then, you’ll be given 8 TemCards, which are used to tame wild Temtem. The game describes it as a card-like device used to capture and transport Temtem. The professor will also give you 8 Balms, which are made using a blend of Denizan healing herbs and they restore 25 HP upon use.

After this, it’s time to head to Bridal de Mar. Head right from the lab and then go up. You’ll see a patch of grass and when you walk through it, the game will tell you that you’re now on the Prasine Coast.
