-Build lots of adverts in sensible high traffic places. Right from the start. There is a reason I had at leats one ads unlocked from the start. They print money. A large early incestment in many billboards will payhuge dividends over course of a game.
-Build all the shops you can(they make money)
-Consider building shops eitrher side of turnstiles.
-Increase your prices. Right click on ticket machine or shop or look at the commerce report. You can increase prices. You can find a nice balance which is not too expensive (depending on the money level of comuuter at that time). Or if you have a high rep, you can set them extortionaly high and take the rep hit in exchange for money (if too high though some wont afford it).
-Dont build too much concourse. Gaugue how much space you really need. Sell excess concourse (watch out for cropding and overheating however)
-Build plants for rep to make things easier, and benches.
-Keep in mind the game is in early access, I’ll be looking at the balancing of these things over time. Rates of random events particularly may need adjusting in later zones, so feedback is useful.
