Tips for Combat

The combat gets a lot better but it also depends on your own style. What kind of weapons you using depend on the skills you use. You have to practice the weapons and some are better for certain situations. You have to get some gear and experiment.

If you worry dying so easily, wear heavy armour or use a shield to block instead of a weapon and always block/dodge first before you launch your attack.

You can use traps to a very good effect, your own or the environment. I killed a few hyenas near the bridge to the closest bandit camp, it has 2 traps on it. You can also craft a lot of good traps

Alebards are nice for killing hyenas and keep them at a distance Sword work very good on the troglodytes

Bows are the way to go against looters/bandits. Same for chickens, use a halebard or the glaive with the poison mushroom….it’s an amazing long reach weapon you can get from the troglodyte cave.

You also have crazy items like pistols, HUGE shields and clubs and other nice stuff. Plus your armour and heavy armour, the food buffs and later on even SPELLS. Remember you can buy skills OR use the skill for the sword and dagger, you just have to equip them

Also, drop your backpack when you fight so you can dodge better, I don’t do it so often because I have the blue sand armour am doing some videos and you can skip to 17:30 if you want to see me use dagger+sword for the first time, I have been using other weapons until

Enemies have a white bar under their health. When the bar is above 50% they don’t flinch when hit. Below 50% and they flinch every time you hit them. At 0 they fall down and the bar resets. If you are having trouble with counter attacks try using the kick skill you start with. It greatly damages white bar allowing you to get full combos off safely.
