Welcome, guideoui.com visitors. In this guide, We try to focus on Kurtzpel Tips for Breaking and Working With Breakers. While writing this guide, we pick up many pieces of information from several sites for you. We hope that this guide will help you.
Breaking and Working With Breakers
Here’s the section for those of us who love to smash things. I love to smash things so much that I only use sword and fist (Let’s not get into how I feel about archer and witch). I only use breakers. But enough about me.
– TIP #1: Do not just spam click on bosses
This applies most to One-Breaks.
WHY: You don’t want to break the boss when you’re in the middle of the last hit of a combo. You want to make the most out of your breaks since messing up a combo will let the boss recover and you will lose out on a lot of damage.
Be smart about your hits and try to get the bosses action endurance low enough that you can break them as you go into a launch combo or grab combo or whatever you plan on doing (If your slayer messes it up, well either on them or it’s some unlucky timing. More on that in “Working with Breakers.”)
– TIP #2: If in Comms (Doesn’t apply to randos why is there no team chat), call your breaks
WHY: This can do a few things for your slayer buddy (if you have one): One, it keeps them from accidentally breaking the boss before you planned to, if you call it early. Two, it helps them know to set up something big as you break. One of the worst things that can happen s if you plan a launch up combo but your slayer left-clicks just as you launch them up and messes up something.
It’s pretty self-explanatory. Call breaks if in comms to just make things a little bit easier on you and your slayer.
– TIP #3: Think about what weapons you use to break the boss
WHY: Sword does incredible damage against action endurance, but it isn’t the best at holding down enemies when they break. Fist does very bad action endurance damage (imo but obviously less than slayers), but holds down broken One-Breaks very well with it’s grab and grab crystals.
While you could use either weapon for whatever you want when fighting One-Breaks, it might be nice to use certain weapons in certain situations (if you weren’t gonna listen to me, then you probably wouldn’t be reading this but who knows). But remember that fist are nearly useless for Two-Breaks. Please use sword.
– TIP #4: Use the sword ult Raging Strike (I dunno about other ults) after a boss has recovered from a break.
WHY: Maybe I’m crazy, but it seems to me that Raging Strike (fully upgraded for me but maybe it does the same stuff at lower levels) will always fully break Two-Breaks if you hit them with it. If the boss is nearly broken and you have an ult, it’s probably better not to use it until you can get the most value out of it. And if you have a God-Tier teammate, they can keep the boss airborne with attacks until you recover so you can continue a break combo.
– TIP #5: When using fist on One-Breaks, Try to break into whirlwind grab (or another grab crystal or combo into a grab or just grab or something that grabs).
WHY: Whirlwind is a very long move. It is a great break staller AND you can chase after it. Also, your stamina recovers during it! I don’t have magic skills because I’m trash but if you manage to end a combo in whirlwind grab, you stamina will be full or nearly full and you can chase to continue your break combo. If you find a combo that you can reliably end in whirlwind chase, please tell me.
Use Whirlwind grab. Reckless charge can be good too, but it moves you around and could make it weird on your slayer.
Also remember that all of that only applies to One-Breaks. Why would you even use fist on Two-Breaks anyway fist is so bad when against Two-Breaks.
Working With Breakers
– TIP #1: DON’T DPS WITH BREAKERS
WHY: If you have a breaker weap and a slayer weap on at the same time, don’t dps with the breaker. It’s fine in you are helping on a Two-Break but on a One-Break you are doing nothing but messing up your breaker’s combo (except in other cases that I will talk about next).
Remember: YOU ARE THE DAMAGE. If you both are breaking, then no one is doing big damage and the fight will take longer than it has to. If you are doing it because you think it’s good damage, don’t. Slayers are the dps class for a reason. If you are doing it because you think breakers are fun and you don’t really care about ending the fight quickly, that’s a little more forgivable.
– TIP #2: Help your breaker a little if you can
WHY: If you have both kinds of weaps on, great! Help out your breaker a little bit if you can. It can be great help on Two-Breaks. It’s also nice on One-Breaks, but only if you go to about half-break or something like that. Once you start getting close to breaking a One-Break, you should let your breaker take the wheel (which the next tip is about).
Absolute LEGENDS could try to keep a break combo to let your breaker recover stamina after they end their combo. But that isn’t necessary. It’s just amazing if you manage to do it.
You don’t have to do any of this though, it’s just nice stuff to do.
BUT remember, I am no slayer. Maybe it’s just better to keep dps up than help your breaker out. Just do what you know to do as a slayer (but also try to keep a few tips in mind).
– TIP #3: Let your breaker break (On One-Breaks)
WHY: Afterall, your breaker IS the breaker. They (probably) will have a plan for their break and will try to set up for a combo. If you accidentally break the boss before they are ready, your breaker will not be able to keep the combo going and you are back to square one when the boss recovers.
Just be careful when the boss’ action endurance starts to get low. Take some time and set up a long-charging move and prepare for when your breaker does their stuff.
