Golden Treasure: The Great Green Tarot Card Achievement Guide

Welcome, guideoui.com visitors. Golden Treasure: The Great Green game guide focuses on Tarot Card Achievement Guide. While writing this instruction, we pick up many pieces of information from several sites for you. We hope that this guide will help you.

Tarot Card Achievement Guide

The Fool
*When given the choice between climbing down and jumping from the cliff in the tutorial, jump!

Death
*Die three times in a single play-through, and experience true death.

The Chariot
*Complete parts 1-3 without experiencing a true death. You can die twice, but not thrice. Picking up at a part that isn’t the tutorial (or part 1, unsure) will not get you this card when you finish the game.

Strength
*Defeat the Old Lumberkin (north of the human children and the excavators; it’s a white symbol of the Lumberkin).

The Hermit
*Defeat the Burning Ones (aka the Enkindled, or the fiery lizards) who dwell beneath the mountain. The access point is to the right of the Old Lumberkin, and shimmers gold when you look at it. Open the cover and explore the vents until you come upon a giant fan. Use either the Obstinate Stone or a high earth stat to successfully bypass the contraption; once you do, you’ll encounter the Burning Ones. Challenge them for their greatest treasure.

Part Two

The Moon
*Beware, once you visit the third clansinger location in part 2, if you have not acted honorably to the clansingers and/or lack knowledge of their kind, you cannot forge an alliance with them. Make sure you have mastered their way (gotten a golden triangle behind their image in the journal); to do so, I suggest visiting two of the clansinger locations and getting the fake draak to visit you and denying its advances. If that doesn’t work, you can ask the artist in part 3 for knowledge of the clansingers and revisit part 2 later on.

Since it can be a pain, here’s how I suggest doing it:

– Clansinger L1, Loner: Ask as many questions as possible of the lone clansinger. Probably don’t attack him; I didn’t.
– Clansinger L2, Den: Fight the clansinger guard honorably; do not attempt to sneak around or otherwise trick him, and let him leave with his life. Do not kill the pups, or bring one back with you; leave them be.

– Visit both brightling locations on the map; you need to successfully answer all the questions one of the locations asks of you, and be friendly with them in the other location.
– Soon, a brightling draak will visit you and attempt to mate with you. Reject them entirely, and when the administrator comes to chat, agree for them to take a sample in exchange for knowledge. This will greatly boost your knowledge of ALL kin, and likely grant you mastery of the clansingers if you’ve visited them twice already (or three times, if you went in part 1).

– Clansinger L3, Hunt: Unsure what happens if you challenge them for the kill, probably nothing good, so when you choose to leave answer them honestly…or honestly according to your stats. If your earth isn’t high enough one option will be considered a lie, and thus dishonorable.
– Final Encounter: The Clansingers will summon you directly after the third encounter. If you’ve acted honorably, they’ll ask you why. Answer that you’ve grown to love the clansingers, and that you want to be their chief. A fight will ensue between you and one of the current chiefs; you have to option of also fighting the second leader, although it’s not necessary. Congratulations, you’re now the chief and have a wolf pack living at your cave! They can help you fight off Warden, and will stay with you in part 3 ONLY IF you prevent the forest fire from happening .

The Lovers
*This fits in well with The Moon achievement, so I recommend doing both at the same time. Here’s a rehash of what I mentioned in that achievement…
– Visit both brightling locations on the map; you need to successfully answer all the questions one of the locations asks of you, and be friendly with them in the other location (as far as I know, anyway; this is what worked for me).
– Soon, a brightling draak will visit you and attempt to mate with you. Reject them entirely, and when the administrator comes to chat, agree for them to take a sample in exchange for knowledge. This will greatly boost your knowledge of ALL kin, and should give you the achievement.

Temperance
*This is actually a bit more complicated than you’d think. Don’t over hunt any of the hunting grounds, and prevent the forest fire from happening. To do this, you need to reintroduce the Woodstriders to the forest, and in order to do that….

– You *need* to visit the fire location – the orange symbol – and visit Darktooth to talk about it. He’ll mention that something is blocking them from returning.
– Make sure you’re either strong enough OR have visited the Spirit of the Great Green and are ready to lose 3 days before you fight the monster at the very south of the map (south of the great tree). If you brute-strength it, you’re going to miss some nice lore and are unable to use your water abilities during the fight (which is a huge handicap, as it uses mainly fire).
– After the encounter, you’ll have a dream where you encounter some woodstriders. Don’t let your pride get the best of you; bow down to it as your sovereign.
– You only get the achievement once you’ve finished part 2 and talk to the Spirit of the Great Green in your dreams during one of your Great Sleeps. If you’ve done everything correctly, the woodstriders should’ve reintroduced themselves back into your territory and prevented the forest fire. Congratulations, you’ve preserved all of your hunting grounds!

The Empress
*This fits in very well with the Temperance achievement, as it also requires you to bring the woodstriders home. Here’s a rehash of what’s above…

– You need to visit the fire location – the orange symbol – and visit Darktooth to talk about it.
Don’t let your pride get the best of you; bow down to it as your sovereign (although they might just refuse to vanquish the fire and repopulate your territory anyway; unsure).
– You only get the achievement once you’ve finished part 2 and talk to the Spirit of the Great Green in your dreams during one of your Great Sleeps. If you’ve done everything correctly, the woodstriders should’ve reintroduced themselves back into your territory.

The High Priestess
*Make sure all of your stats are at least at level 4 mastery and visit the Spirit of the Green. If your stats are too low, you’ll fail the stat checks and waste a day (but get some experience in the stat you failed the stat check on). Once you talk, you’ll get the tarot card.

The Hierophant
*Visit Darktooth (this doesn’t take up a day) and ask him about the Test of Wisdom. You’ll need to pay 20 treasure to take it, so fork that over or gather some at one of the treasure locations; the one above the Great Tree will proooobably give 20 even with a share going to Darktooth. If you have the shakestick, you’re definitely in the clear. You can choose to do the test immediately or later; I recommend having a decently full stomach before taking it, else you’ll lose some reputation begging food off a fish.

Here’s a guide…

– Admit you don’t know what the Truth is, and that you aren’t wise.
– Inevitably, you’ll get stuck trying to find one of the seven pictures you have to find. Try going backwards every now and then and you’ll likely find it.
– The order of the pictures is a PAIN to figure out, so here they are, in word form (lmao good luck):

*It starts with a silver, baby dragon, created from Sun (the orange diamond-thing spitting sun rays from above) and the Earth (the misty black part on the bottom).
*Next is the big dragon with a silvery bit in its mouth and its belly.
*Then the one where volcanoes are erupting and two gray ships are coming in from the right.
*It’s followed up by a battle of one giant dragon and a bunch of small dragons on the left vs a bunch of weaponized ships on the right.
*Now the giant dragon is falling to its demise.
*Then one, large shiny ship above a small group of triumphant human figures.
*And finally, the one with a bunch of humans standing above mammals.

– Once you’re done with that business, continue onto the next part. Here, you’ll need to find the Four instructors (a nihilistic eel, a math-loving fish, a religious fish, and a greedy octopus). For three of them, you simply need to talk to them a bit to figure out the answers and then partake in a test for their blessing (math – the last answer is probably 51, not 10; religion – never approach the surface, law 2, chartreuse, FAITH; nihilist – silence for all answers). For the last one, you just need to get a bunch of sand; I suggest ‘importing’ it from other rooms, but you’ll have to answer three math questions from the Hall Monitors.

– Finally, try your darndest to find the final test. It seems to be random, and can take forever to find, but you’ll find it…eventually. DO NOT join any one of the schools; deny them all. Any reason should do, I think (not sure), but once you reject all of them you’ll meet with Darktooth who will talk with you and give you the Silver Rod.

Congratulations, you’ve completed THE TEST OF WISDOM. Woohoo.

Part Three

The Emperor
*Make sure you’re strong enough before you do this. Other than that, just fight for the territory south of your own. I use a double attack (a wind move that doesn’t cost a turn) of fire in the initial encounter, and then mostly fire below as well (albeit not fire breath attacks) since he uses a fair amount of air attacks

The Hanged One
*Make sure you’re strong enough for this fight, but otherwise just descend into the hole. Avoid taking any of the items; do not take the treasure, do not agree to work with the ‘delvers’, and do not partake of the food or water. When you’re past those, follow the direction that is written in red and you’ll find your opponent in three moves. I use Intuition (a water sense) to figure out which element they’re about to use, and then use a double attack in the winning element

The Magician
*Requires the items: Heavy cube, Refining Stone/Antimony, and Bezoar. It’s simple enough if you have the right items, but make sure you have quite a few days saved away to do this. You need to conquer the Empire of Reeds and visit the hut there twice before meeting the artist, who you must give a gift to (unsure if it’s OK to give him one of three items he requests as a ‘I’m not here to eat you’ gift). From there, he’ll ask for your help; accept, and bring him the items he requires. When you come back a couple of days later, you’ll get the achievement – and a special elixir.

The Others
*You need to have sufficient knowledge of the tailless to do this, so if you didn’t spend time getting to know them in part 1 you’ll need to spend time investigating them in part 3. When you have enough knowledge, visit the house icon that looks like a curly capital ‘A’ inserted into a rectangle; it’s above the hut and just north east of the sheep symbol. Once there, you need to get inside (I used the water stat to sneak in; unsure of the success of other options). Look around, leave, and you’ll get the card.

Justice
*You need to have earned a reputation as a ‘fierce survivor’ in order to get the dream necessary to access this mountain. If you start the game in part 3, it’s much easier to get. Visit the place your dream reveals to you and defeat all the enemies there and you’ll get the card. But be careful – the last enemey can be VERY difficult without fire mastery, and if you lose against them you don’t get a second chance.

The Sun
*You need to have earned a reputation as ‘self-sacrificing and compassionate’ in order to get the dream necessary to access this area, which is pretty easy to do. Once you have the dream, visit Allmother and complete the task laid out before you…to triumph as a tiny insect against a titan. You need to complete three tasks as a bug: on the earth path, bring home aphids to drink from (they’re on a left-side branch on the tree); on the fire path, defeat a bug and bring home food; and on the water path, use the poisonous berry to kill your foe and access water.

The Star
*Choose to follow Allmother’s path at the end. Make sure you either have a way of placating Many-Times-Burned or that you have a very high earth stat. Unsure of any other specifics needed for this achievement.

The Wheel of Fortune
*Choose to follow Darktooth’s path at the end. Unsure of any other specifics needed for this achievement.

Judgement
*Choose to follow Many-Times-Burned’s path at the end. Unsure of any other specifics needed for this achievement.

The Onesong
*Get all three endings (The Star, The Wheel of Fortune, Judgement) and all of the tarot cards (aka achievements); raise all your stats to level 10 mastery; have a dream, answer the numbers as follows: 64 , 5 , 32. After that, deny all the entities that come to persuade you (it’s like the Test of Wisdom all over again). Final step: Profit?
